Americana Restaurants launches “Education for All = Food for All,” unifying its youth empowerment mission in Egypt

EGYPT – Americana Restaurants has launched “Education for All = Food for All,” a comprehensive initiative that consolidates its education programs while expanding youth empowerment across Egypt.

This strategic move reaffirms the company’s long-term commitment to primary and higher education, literacy, and sustainable development through tangible opportunities for young people.

The initiative unifies flagship programs like the Dual Education Program, run in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Misr El Kheir Foundation.

Over 7,500 students have graduated from nine technical and commercial schools nationwide, including Ahmed Hamed Taleb School for Applied Technology, El Zeitoun Commercial School, and Tanta Hotel School.

At the university level, the program collaborates with the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels at Helwan, Alexandria, and Fayoum Universities, supporting over 1,500 students to complete their bachelor’s degrees while securing direct employment within Americana’s network.

This model bridges the gap between academic training and market needs, ensuring job readiness and career progression.

During the launch event, Americana honored Mohamed Emad, Haneen Mahmoud, and Alaa Mohamed, three top-performing students who ranked first nationally in their fields, for their academic excellence and dedication.

Their success stories exemplify the transformative power of education and inspire future participants.

Through its KFC brand, Americana launched the “3al Asl Tawar” literacy and skills program in Ezbet Khairallah, targeting 600 beneficiaries over three years.

In its first two years, it has already graduated 500 participants, most of whom have significantly improved their reading and writing abilities.

The company views education as a cornerstone of sustainable development, not a temporary initiative. Its programs are designed to create lasting impact in underserved communities, fostering economic empowerment and social inclusion.

Hesham Talaat, Country General Manager for Americana Restaurants in Egypt and Iraq, stated: “Our investment in people is no less important than business expansion.

Education is the foundation of opportunity, and our programs generate sustainable impact across society”.

Americana also empowers people of determination, operating seven branches fully managed by employees with hearing impairments, with plans to expand to nine by end-2025.
