UAE – Anantara World Islands Resort has appointed Suresh Ferdinandusz as its new Director of Operations, effective July 2025.

Ferdinandusz previously spent six impactful years at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, where he played a pivotal role in elevating the property’s food and beverage offerings.
His efforts were focused on aligning every guest touchpoint with Anantara’s commitment to exceptional service and satisfaction.
Before joining Anantara, he dedicated 14 years to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, overseeing a diverse portfolio of restaurant concepts.
His leadership helped shape memorable culinary experiences tailored to an international clientele, enhancing the hotel’s reputation for quality and innovation.
A native of Sri Lanka, Ferdinandusz began his hospitality journey in restaurant management after completing his formal training through Mclarens Hotel Management Services in collaboration with the Ceylon Hotel School and Sri Lanka Tourism Board.
His professional development includes a Diploma in Management from the Millennium City Academy in the United Kingdom, along with specialized certifications in hospitality training and food hygiene.
Renowned for his strategic leadership and hands-on approach, Ferdinandusz has built a career characterized by strong operational results and a deep understanding of guest dynamics.
He emphasizes adaptability and presence on the floor as key drivers of sustained service excellence.
