Grand Metropolitan Hotels secures 51% stake in private selection hotels & tours to accelerate global expansion

According to an official statement, this strategic investment is intended to position PSH for international expansion and strengthen its role as a core partner within the Swiss Hospitality Collection (SHC).

EUROPE – Grand Metropolitan Hotels (GMH) has announced it has acquired a 51% majority stake in Private Selection Hotels & Tours (PSH), which operates over 50 luxury properties across Switzerland and Europe.

This strategic investment aims to prepare PSH for international expansion and reinforce its role as a key partner within the Swiss Hospitality Collection (SHC), according to an official statement.

Following a long-established partnership, Private Selection Hotels & Tours will retain full content and personnel autonomy despite the acquisition.

As part of GMH, PSH now benefits from enhanced market presence and access to new strategic perspectives thanks to its collaboration with SHC.

The Swiss Hospitality Collection seeks to create a powerful network that unites global reach with a deep-rooted culture of Swiss hospitality and excellence.

PSH brings two major strengths to the alliance.

First, it offers a premium cooperation model centered around owner-managed hotels that uphold the highest levels of service, authenticity, and sustainability.

Second, it operates a specialized tour segment providing carefully curated travel experiences, ranging from self-guided individual itineraries to guided cultural and nature-based tours.

This segment is supported by a dedicated call and service center, whose shared-services will now also be available across all Grand Metropolitan Hotels brands.

GMH member hotels stand to gain three distinct advantages from this alliance.

The first is an integrated loyalty ecosystem, allowing business points earned at Grand Metropolitan city hotels to be converted into unforgettable leisure experiences at Private Selection destinations.

Second, joint sales and technology platforms are set to increase reach, visibility, and direct booking potential, driving revenue growth.

Third, centralized back-office functions will generate greater operational efficiency and unlock new marketing and brand development opportunities.

This partnership represents a major step forward in GMH’s ambitions to broaden its portfolio and strengthen its position in the luxury and boutique hotel markets.

By combining Swiss precision with international customer-centric finesse, the alliance aims to elevate guest experiences and build sustainable, long-term growth.

With a focus on innovation, quality, and expanded global influence, this investment confirms GMH’s commitment to leading the future of luxury hospitality.
