Serena Hotels launches global Prestige Club App connecting 33 properties across Africa, Asia

Replacing previous manual processes, the new app provides real-time point tracking, mobile access, and effortless redemption for stays, dining venues, and Maisha Spa & Health Clubs.

AFRICA/ASIA – Serena Hotels has officially launched the Prestige Club App, marking a significant advancement in its guest loyalty programme with a simultaneous rollout across 33 properties in eight countries spanning Africa and Asia.

The launch covers key city hotels in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique, and Pakistan, introducing Serena’s first-ever fully tech-enabled global membership platform.

The Prestige Club App consolidates the guest experience by allowing members to earn and redeem reward points across Serena’s entire portfolio.

Unlike prior manual systems, the new app offers real-time point tracking, mobile access, and seamless redemption for stays, dining outlets, and Maisha Spa & Health Clubs.

This unified platform supports a borderless loyalty experience designed for the modern traveler who values both convenience and personalized service.

Structured around four membership tiers.

These are Classic, Gold, Platinum, and the newly introduced Prestige Plus, the app provides a dynamic recognition system that grows with the guest.

The Classic tier is free entry-level, while Gold and Platinum require accumulating 4,000 and 8,000 points annually, respectively.

Prestige Plus members pay an annual fee of $95 to access exclusive, tier-based discounts ranging from 15% to 50% on rooms, restaurants, spas, and laundry services, enabling significant savings across Serena’s outlets.

The app’s launch event, held at Kigali Serena Hotel, combined Rwanda’s rich culture with a corporate celebration, emphasizing Serena’s blend of heritage and innovation. Through the app, members can effortlessly make reservations, redeem rewards, and enjoy exclusive offers regardless of their physical location, highlighting Serena’s commitment to enhancing guest satisfaction through technology.

Franklin Nyakundi, General Manager of Kigali Serena Hotel, reflected on the evolution from Serena’s original loyalty card system over 12 years ago to today’s digital, borderless experience.

Azim Boolan, Global CEO of Serena Hotels, emphasized the company’s dedication to hospitality excellence alongside sustainability efforts, including significant reductions in plastic use across properties.

The Prestige Club App represents a milestone in Serena’s journey, setting new standards for customer engagement and loyalty in the hospitality industry while connecting guests across continents through a seamless digital platform.
