Swiss-Belhotel International, Astra Capital partner to develop 5-star Swiss-Belboutique Masaki Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The property features two upscale restaurants with varied dining options, a chic bar ideal for both socializing and business meetings, a relaxing spa, an outdoor pool, and contemporary conference rooms designed for corporate events.

TANZANIA – Swiss-Belhotel International has entered into a partnership with Astra Capital to develop a 5-star hotel in the exclusive Masaki area of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

This boutique property reflects a notable addition to Swiss-Belhotel’s growing footprint in East Africa’s vibrant hospitality market.

The hotel is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, providing an elegant blend of contemporary design, personalised service, and world-class amenities.

The new hotel will feature 72 stylish rooms and suites thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury.

Facilities include two upscale restaurants offering diverse dining experiences, a stylish bar for social and business gatherings, a rejuvenating spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and modern conference rooms to accommodate business events.

The development will also include select retail spaces available for lease, aiming to meet the lifestyle and commercial needs of both guests and the local community.

Joel Makanyaga, Owner of Astra Capital, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, praising Swiss-Belhotel International’s global reputation and operational expertise.

He emphasized the project’s goal to reflect Dar es Salaam’s dynamic spirit and deliver memorable experiences to both international travelers and local visitors.
