Arada awards US$168.25M contract for Anantara Sharjah Resort $ Residences development

The project plans to introduce a luxury Anantara hotel and 128 branded residences, with the goal of redefining premium hospitality standards in the Northern Emirates.

UAE – Real estate developer Arada has awarded a construction contract worth AED 618 million (US$168.25 million) for the development of the Anantara Sharjah Resort and Anantara Sharjah Residences.

This upscale seafront destination is located on the scenic Al Heera Beach in Sharjah, a popular tourist area known for its 3.5 kilometers of beachfront, jogging and cycling tracks, and diverse dining options.

Intermass Engineering & Contracting has been appointed to carry out the construction works, which are scheduled to span 24 months.

Preliminary enabling and foundation works have already been completed, and construction activities are progressing steadily on site.

The project envisions a luxury Anantara hotel alongside 128 branded residences, aiming to set a new benchmark for high-end hospitality in the Northern Emirates.

Minor Hotels will operate both the 128-unit Anantara Sharjah Residences and the Anantara Sharjah Resort, marking the debut of the Anantara brand in Sharjah.

The architecture includes a signature gateway designed to mimic the sun’s path, adding a distinctive touch to the development’s visual appeal.

The branded residences will offer a variety of units ranging from one- to four-bedroom apartments, including duplex penthouses with private rooftop pools and balconies.

All residences feature premium finishes such as high-quality flooring, stylish work surfaces, generous living spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto balconies with impressive views of the Arabian Gulf.

Shared amenities are designed to cater to luxury lifestyle demands and include five signature restaurants, a beachfront infinity pool, the Anantara Spa, a kids’ club, meeting rooms, an events hall, and male and female gyms.

These facilities will enhance guest and resident experiences while solidifying the complex’s position as a premier luxury destination.

Arada, founded in 2017, has also expanded beyond the UAE, opening an office in Sydney in 2024 as part of its Australian market entry.

Within the UAE, the developer has launched nine master communities, underscoring its strong presence in the real estate sector.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, emphasized that this project will elevate Sharjah’s international appeal and offer discerning travelers and homeowners an exceptional beachfront lifestyle.

The Anantara Sharjah Resort and Residences project reflects Arada’s commitment to delivering quality developments that blend architectural distinction with community and lifestyle amenities in strategic locations.
