Archana Kawatra joins Grand Millennium Dubai to lead commercial strategy with global expertise

Archana’s distinguished career spans multiple regions including India, the UAE, New Zealand, and Australia, where she has held senior positions at globally recognized hotel brands such as Accor, Rotana, Hyatt, Taj, and Stamford Hotels & Resorts.

UAE – Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai has announced the appointments of Archana Kawatra as its new Commercial Director, bringing nearly three decades of robust international experience in sales, marketing, and hotel operations to the role.

Archana’s distinguished career spans multiple regions including India, the UAE, New Zealand, and Australia, where she has held senior positions at globally recognized hotel brands such as Accor, Rotana, Hyatt, Taj, and Stamford Hotels & Resorts.

Most recently, Archana served as Area Director of Sales at Stamford Hotels in Australia, where she successfully drove revenue growth across varied properties, including both city hotels and beachfront resorts.

Her role saw her developing effective sales strategies tailored to diverse market segments, contributing significantly to the company’s commercial success.

In addition to her experience in Australia, Archana’s tenure in the Middle East included a pivotal leadership role at Rotana Hotels as Area Director of Sales – MICE.

There, she oversaw commercial operations across 20 properties in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, playing a key part in building the MICE division from the ground up.

She forged strong partnerships with destination management companies and corporate clients, reinforcing Rotana’s position in the competitive regional market.

Archana’s expertise encompasses corporate sales, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), as well as team leadership and revenue management.

Her sharp business acumen and proven ability to craft and implement successful commercial plans position her well to advance Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai’s strategic goals.

Holding a Master’s degree in Applied Management and a Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management, Archana is well-equipped to lead the hotel’s commercial team.

Her responsibilities will include steering sales initiatives and aligning marketing efforts to maximize revenue and expand market share.
