The Sheraton Luanda hotel is slated to open in early 2026, marking a significant milestone in Angola’s strategic efforts to expand its tourism and investment sectors, while elevating the country’s hospitality standards.

The signing ceremony took place during the US–Africa Business Summit, a high-profile event attended by senior government officials and institutional leaders.

The forthcoming Sheraton Luanda will serve as a flagship property, combining Marriott’s global expertise with local cultural elements to offer travelers a high-quality experience.

This development aligns with Angola’s broader economic diversification goals, aiming to reduce reliance on oil revenues by fostering growth in tourism and related industries.

Marriott International’s expansion into Angola reflects growing confidence in the country’s market potential and stability.

The hotel is expected to create new employment opportunities, stimulate ancillary businesses, and contribute to the overall development of the hospitality sector.

Additionally, the project is anticipated to attract both leisure and business travelers, supporting Angola’s ambition to become a key player in regional tourism.

The collaboration between Marriott and FSDEA underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in driving sustainable growth and infrastructure development.

As Angola prepares to welcome the Sheraton Luanda, the hotel’s launch is set to symbolize a new era of international hospitality presence in the country.

With the opening scheduled for early 2026, Marriott International and Angola are poised to strengthen their relationship, leveraging global brand recognition to elevate the nation’s tourism profile and investment appeal in the years ahead.
