Valor Hospitality Partners expands African footprint with three new hotel management contracts in Namibia

The portfolio includes the debut of the Vignette Collection Dunes Resort Swakopmund, marking the brand’s first entry into Namibia, alongside the Holiday Inn Walvis Bay and voco Windhoek Central Business District (CBD).

NAMIBIA – Valor Hospitality Partners, a global leader in full-service hospitality management, has announced the signing of three new hotel management agreements in Namibia, further extending its presence across the African continent.

This development follows Valor’s recent addition of two properties in West Africa, announced earlier this week at the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) held in Cape Town.

All three Namibian projects are new-build properties managed in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s foremost hospitality companies.

The portfolio includes the debut of the Vignette Collection Dunes Resort Swakopmund, marking the brand’s first entry into Namibia, alongside the Holiday Inn Walvis Bay and voco Windhoek Central Business District (CBD).

The Vignette Collection Dunes Resort Swakopmund, featuring 100 rooms, is strategically located along the Swakop River in the popular coastal town of Swakopmund.

It promises guests access to adventure, heritage, and marine attractions, complemented by a dedicated conference center and excellent connectivity to regional road networks.

This property is designed to attract both leisure travelers and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) clientele.

Holiday Inn Walvis Bay, also with 100 rooms, is set to serve Namibia’s principal port city, a vital logistics and industrial hub.

The hotel’s location near key attractions such as the Walvis Bay Lagoon and Dune 7 positions it well to meet corporate demand while appealing to leisure visitors exploring the region.

The voco Windhoek CBD, with 147 rooms, will cater to the capital city’s growing business and government sectors.

Windhoek is experiencing rapid economic transformation driven by developments in oil, gas, mining, and green hydrogen industries, making this hotel a timely addition to support increased business travel.

The combined capital investment for these three properties totals approximately ZAR1.3 billion (US$73.4 million), reflecting strong confidence in Namibia’s tourism and business infrastructure growth.

Valor Hospitality Partners will oversee the successful opening and ongoing management of these hotels, leveraging its extensive global expertise to deliver best-in-class operational standards.

These new contracts mark a significant milestone for Valor Hospitality Partners and IHG Hotels & Resorts, reaffirming their commitment to expanding quality hospitality offerings in emerging African markets and supporting Namibia’s evolving travel and business landscape.
