USA – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and UAE-based Hotpack have announced a landmark $100 million investment to establish the company’s first manufacturing and distribution facility in North America.

Located in Edison, New Jersey, the new site marks a major milestone in Hotpack’s international expansion and will serve as a strategic hub to deliver sustainable, tailored packaging solutions to its growing U.S. hospitality customer base.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, currently leading an economic mission to the Gulf Arab States, welcomed the announcement as a validation of the state’s strategic advantages.

Hotpack’s decision to expand its presence in New Jersey is a powerful endorsement of our state’s strategic location, skilled workforce, and robust infrastructure,” said the governor.

Hotpack Group CEO & Managing Director, Abdul Jebbar PB, described the expansion as a transformative step for the company.

This investment reflects our dedication to better serving our clients in the U.S. market and contributes to the local economy through job creation and advanced manufacturing capabilities,” he said.

He also noted that this project is part of a broader international growth trajectory, including recent investments in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and India.

The New Jersey facility will be outfitted with cutting-edge packaging technology to produce customised solutions across a range of industries.

It will act as a strategic hub for bespoke packaging that prioritises quality, functionality, and brand visibility,” said Zainudeen PB, Group COO & Executive Director.

He added that Hotpack is working closely with local authorities to ensure a smooth rollout, and that the facility is designed to strengthen the company’s global supply chain while offering localised service in one of the world’s largest packaging markets.

Anvar PB, Group CTO and Executive Director, emphasised the strategic and environmental value of the move.

This expansion aligns with our mission to meet regional demand efficiently and sustainably, reducing the environmental impact of long-distance shipping.”

Wesley Mathews, CEO of Choose New Jersey, praised Hotpack’s continued investment in the state, calling it a strong signal of New Jersey’s competitiveness in advanced manufacturing.
