Talabat, Emarat forge strategic partnership to drive innovation, community impact

The two companies have extended their partnership for a second consecutive year, deepening their commitment to rider welfare, operational efficiency, and sustainable innovation.

MIDDLE EAST – Talabat, MENA’s leading on-demand delivery platform, has signed an MoU with Emirates Petroleum Company PJSC (Emarat), forming a strategic partnership focused on innovation, community support, and sustainable growth.

The collaboration will introduce initiatives such as subsidized fuel costs, summer rest areas, and exclusive EmCan benefits for talabat employees.

The two companies have extended their partnership for a second consecutive year, deepening their commitment to rider welfare, operational efficiency, and sustainable innovation.

Pedram Assadi, Chief Operations Officer at talabat, noted that the collaboration underscores a shared commitment to supporting the community and enhancing daily life.

He stated that talabat constantly seeks meaningful ways to empower the people at the core of its business, its riders, customers, and partners.

He added that the ongoing partnership with Emarat reflects both companies’ aligned values of innovation, dedication, and long-term impact.

Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chief Retail Officer and Senior Vice President – Marketing at Emarat, highlighted that the partnership reinforces Emarat’s role within the UAE’s delivery ecosystem through a series of initiatives that are both operational and rider-focused.

He explained that the MoU includes enhanced benefits for talabat’s delivery fleet and streamlines B2B fuel services through Emarat’s loyalty program, EmCan.

The partnership also aims to develop scalable technology solutions that address the evolving needs of the delivery sector.

Following the success of last year’s initiative, talabat and Emarat are relaunching the Summer Together solar-powered rest areas at key Emarat stations across the UAE.

These shaded, energy-efficient zones offer riders a place to rest and recharge during the hotter months, contributing to both welfare and sustainability.

Additionally, talabat employees are now eligible for a special membership tier on EmCan, giving them access to increased point accumulation and exclusive rewards, further embedding Emarat’s services into talabat’s ecosystem.

Founded in Kuwait in 2004 and headquartered in Dubai, talabat operates in eight countries across the MENA region and serves over 6.5 million active users.

Following its IPO on the Dubai Financial Market in December 2024, talabat continues to expand through its advanced technology, extensive partner network, and rider fleet.

As a subsidiary of Delivery Hero SE, it leverages global capabilities to innovate in food, grocery, and convenience delivery.

Established in 1980, Emarat is one of the UAE’s foremost energy providers, offering fuel, gas, retail, and automotive services through a vast national network.
