As part of the Victoria Falls Safari Collection, which is operated by the Africa Albida Tourism hospitality group, Queen Nandi Place is expected to bolster the region’s competitiveness as a year-round Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) destination.
ZIMBABWE – Queen Nandi Place, a stylish new events venue on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, officially launched on 4 April.
The recent opening of Queen Nandi Place marked a significant addition to Victoria Falls’ hospitality scene, drawing local travel trade professionals and business leaders to celebrate a new venue for upscale events.
Situated within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, the venue combines elegant interiors with sweeping views over the Zambezi National Park and the mist of the iconic Victoria Falls, offering a striking setting for a wide range of gatherings, from weddings and gala dinners to product launches and wellness events.
As part of the Victoria Falls Safari Collection, which is operated by the Africa Albida Tourism hospitality group, Queen Nandi Place is expected to bolster the region’s competitiveness as a year-round Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) destination.
During his welcome remarks at the launch, Andy Conn, Group Operations Manager, emphasised the strategic importance of the facility.
He said the venue was more than just a new addition, it was a direct response to the tourism industry’s need to drive business during the destination’s quieter, low-season months.
Conn noted that attracting upmarket events during off-peak periods could help fill accommodation not only within the Safari Collection but also across the wider Victoria Falls hospitality sector.
Anald Musonza, Head of Sales and Marketing, also addressed attendees, highlighting the value of collective effort.
He stated that the success of MICE tourism in Victoria Falls would rely heavily on destination-wide collaboration.
Queen Nandi Place, he said, represented just one component of a larger strategy that required the support of the entire local tourism community to position the area as a leading events destination on the global stage.
Named in honour of Queen Nandi, mother of King Shaka Zulu, the venue pays tribute to her enduring legacy of strength, resilience, and grace.
The facility can accommodate up to 180 delegates and includes a dedicated kitchen to support seamless event catering.
Queen Nandi Place joins the extensive portfolio of the Victoria Falls Safari Collection, which also features the flagship Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, the 20-room premium Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Lokuthula Lodges, MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, the Boma – Dinner & Drum Show, and the Victoria Falls Safari Spa.
All are located just 4km from the majestic falls, capturing the spirit of Africa in one of its most breathtaking destinations.
