JAPAN – IHG Hotels & Resorts has officially entered the Japanese market with the launch of its Vignette Collection brand, marking the transformation of RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka into the country’s first property under this distinguished collection.

RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Vignette Collection, unveils a revitalized guest experience that blends history, luxury, and cultural authenticity.

As one of Osaka’s most storied hotels, it has long been a preferred destination for dignitaries and distinguished guests.

Situated in Nakanoshima, the “City of Water,” the hotel reflects the vibrancy of this international metropolis while offering refined hospitality.

Following an extensive renovation, the hotel now features over 1,000 redesigned rooms, including a grand 700-square-meter suite.

Guests can explore 18 distinctive dining venues and bars, a modern fitness center, and expansive event spaces, including 56 banquet rooms.

Renowned Japanese fashion designer Junko Koshino has also designed new uniforms for the staff, adding a refined aesthetic to the property’s refreshed identity.

To mark its official entry into the Vignette Collection, the hotel hosted a unique ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring a tenugui hand towel dyed using the traditional Osaka “Chusen” technique.

This symbolic gesture celebrates the hotel’s longstanding legacy and its future as part of IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Since its launch just three years ago, Vignette Collection has made significant progress in its goal to establish 100 properties worldwide within a decade, having already surpassed the halfway mark.

The brand’s philosophy is built on individuality and authenticity, ensuring each hotel has a distinct identity while embracing shared values.

A hallmark of Vignette Collection is its ‘Memorable Rituals,’ which connect guests with local culture through meaningful experiences.

At RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Vignette Collection, this tradition is embodied in the “Furumai-cha” tea ceremony, held daily in the Main Lounge from 3 to 5 pm.

This experience is enhanced by traditional Japanese classical music performed on a Steinway & Sons SPIRIO piano, creating a tranquil and immersive atmosphere.

The hotel also upholds the brand’s ‘A Means For Good’ initiative, which focuses on social impact. Through educational programs, RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Vignette Collection, supports secondary and high school students, fostering their personal and academic growth.

By combining its historic legacy with modern luxury and cultural engagement, RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Vignette Collection, offers an unparalleled experience, setting a new standard for hospitality in the heart of Osaka.
