Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel partners with AirOWater to install atmospheric water generators

Producing 365,000 liters annually, the system supplies water in reusable glass bottles across guest rooms, restaurants, and leisure areas, significantly reducing plastic waste.

UAE – Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, managed by Hospitality Management Holding (HMH), a subsidiary of Manafa LLC, has become the first in the northern emirates to implement Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) through a partnership with AirOWater.

Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel has implemented an innovative system that extracts drinking water from the air, providing a sustainable alternative to plastic bottles.

Producing 365,000 liters annually, the system supplies water in reusable glass bottles across guest rooms, restaurants, and leisure areas, significantly reducing plastic waste.

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s net zero vision, lowering the hotel’s carbon footprint by 33.58 metric tonnes of CO₂ per year.

It also reduces plastic production, transportation emissions, and landfill waste while promoting a circular economy through the reuse and recycling of glass bottles.

The project was inaugurated by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, in the presence of other dignitaries.

The event underscored the initiative’s importance to the region’s sustainability goals.

HMH COO Haytham Abdelaziz emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating sustainability into the hospitality sector.

He noted that the collaboration with AirOWater at Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel aligned with the UAE’s vision for a greener future.

Abdelaziz highlighted that by adopting advanced technology and eliminating single-use plastics, the hotel was enhancing guest experiences while contributing to environmental preservation.

He also pointed out that the project demonstrated how luxury and sustainability could coexist, setting a benchmark for the industry.

Through this initiative, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel reinforces HMH’s leadership in sustainable hospitality and contributes to the UAE’s broader environmental goals.

Established in 2003 in Dubai, HMH – Hospitality Management Holding is the region’s largest operator in the dry sector.

The company offers hotel owners and developers a wide range of management solutions through its five brands: Bahi Hotels & Resorts, Coral Hotels & Resorts, Corp Hotels, EWA Hotel Apartments, and ECOS Hotels.

HMH has successfully expanded its footprint across the Middle East and North Africa, with an existing portfolio in prime locations and a pipeline of new developments aimed at further growth.
