This move aligns with Walmart’s strategy to enhance in-store dining options and generate additional revenue through quick-service restaurant partnerships.
USA – Walmart has welcomed another restaurant chain into its stores, as Nozzleman Pizza Co. announced the opening of its first Walmart location in Carson City, Nevada, on March 18.
Nozzleman Pizza is expanding its presence within Walmart stores, with plans to open 17 locations across six states this year.
This move aligns with Walmart’s strategy to enhance in-store dining options and generate additional revenue through quick-service restaurant partnerships.
By offering more meal choices, Walmart aims to attract customers looking for convenient and affordable dining while shopping.
The expansion follows the recent opening of Nozzleman Pizza’s first in-store location in Carson City, Nevada.
Additional outlets are set to launch in northern Nevada, including Gardnerville, Fallon, and Reno, by late summer.
Beyond Nevada, the pizza chain plans to establish locations in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah, with the long-term goal of expanding nationwide.
Currently, the Carson City location is the only one listed on the chain’s website.
Nozzleman Pizza’s menu features a variety of offerings, including 16-inch pizzas, pizza by the slice, garlic cheese bread, fries, chicken tenders, Caesar salad, grilled cheese sandwiches, soft-serve ice cream, and beverages.
Co-founder Robert Powells highlighted the advantages of operating within Walmart stores, noting that franchisees can benefit from high foot traffic and a loyal customer base, contributing to financial stability.
The brand was founded in Reno and takes its name from co-founder Jesse Corletto, a retired firefighter who wanted to pay tribute to first responders.
In line with this mission, each Nozzleman Pizza location donates a portion of its proceeds to local fire stations, reinforcing its commitment to community support.
Walmart has been actively expanding its in-store dining partnerships, integrating well-known quick-service brands into its retail spaces.
Last year, the retailer partnered with Mr Gatti’s Pizza, which announced plans to open 92 corporate-owned locations inside Walmart stores across four states.
Other collaborations include Wetzel’s Pretzels, along with restaurants offering hoagies, hot dogs, and poke.
This expansion coincides with Walmart’s continued growth in the grocery sector.
The retailer’s U.S. grocery segment saw mid-single-digit growth, with CFO John David Rainey describing it as a “standout category” for the company.
By incorporating more restaurant options within its stores, Walmart aims to enhance the shopping experience and capitalize on the increasing demand for convenient, high-quality dining solutions.
