Hilton appoints Alessandro Redaelli as VP of Operations for North Africa, Levant

The new Vice President of Operations for North Africa & Levant will oversee 35 hotels across seven brands in the region.

MENA – Leading hotel operator Hilton has appointed Alessandro Redaelli as Vice President of Operations for North Africa and Levant, based in its Cairo office.

In his new role, the new Vice President of Operations for North Africa & Levant, is tasked with overseeing 35 hotels across seven brands in the region.

With nearly 50 new properties in the pipeline, his role will be key in driving Hilton’s expansion and strengthening its operations in these markets.

This appointment introduces a dedicated leadership position for the region, highlighting Hilton’s commitment to its growth strategy.

Guy Hutchinson, Hilton’s President for the Middle East & Africa, noted that as the company expands its footprint, effective leadership remains crucial for sustaining high service standards and long-term success.

He emphasized that Redaelli’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the industry would enhance Hilton’s presence in North Africa and the Levant.

With more than three decades in hospitality, Redaelli has held senior roles across Europe and the Middle East.

Most recently, he served as General Manager at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, a prominent luxury hotel in the UAE.

Reflecting on his new role, he expressed his excitement at rejoining Hilton in a leadership capacity.

Having begun his career with the company in France and spent over seven years with the brand, he looks forward to collaborating with teams in North Africa and Levant to drive operational excellence and elevate guest experiences.

Hilton continues to expand aggressively in the region, particularly in Egypt, where it plans to triple its portfolio.

This includes the debut of its Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands. Morocco is also a key focus, with plans to double Hilton’s presence and introduce new brands such as Waldorf Astoria in Rabat, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and Hampton by Hilton.

Recent openings include Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi in Egypt and the region’s first Signia by Hilton property, located in Amman, Jordan.

Hilton’s development efforts in North Africa and Levant are being led by Carlos Khneisser, Vice President, Development, Middle East & Africa, and Sam Diab, Managing Director, Development, North & East Africa.
