UAE – Sofitel Dubai Downtown has appointed Claire van’t Hull as its new Rooms Division Manager, bringing over a decade of luxury hospitality experience and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

Claire’s hospitality career began in 2012 in her home country, South Africa, where she started as a Guest Service Agent.

Gaining experience across departments such as Events and Reservations, she developed a deep understanding of guest relations, operations, and service excellence.

Her passion for creating memorable guest experiences led her to explore international opportunities, eventually bringing her to Dubai, a global hub for luxury hospitality.

Her expertise expanded when she joined Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City as Front Office Manager, where she led a dynamic team overseeing front desk and concierge operations.

This role reinforced her reputation for exceptional service and operational efficiency, further establishing her leadership in the industry.

Having left her home country at just 20 years old, Claire navigated different cultures, service standards, and operational structures, shaping her into a resilient and adaptable leader.

This experience strengthened her ability to inspire teams and deliver world-class hospitality, with a strong focus on multicultural leadership.

She prioritizes proactive guest engagement, using feedback channels such as social media, guest surveys, and direct interactions to enhance service standards.

Her approach centers on creating meaningful connections, exceeding expectations, and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.

Now leading the Rooms Division at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Claire is set to elevate the hotel’s reputation for luxury and service excellence.

Her leadership aims to enhance guest experiences, reinforcing the hotel’s position as a premier destination in Dubai.

Sofitel Dubai Downtown is the only international five-star hotel in Downtown Dubai directly linked to The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa metro station via an air-conditioned skywalk.
