UAE – Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, renowned for its luxurious setting and sweeping Arabian Gulf vistas, has named Burcu Betoner as its new Commercial Director.
Burcu brings 22 years of hospitality industry experience to the luxury resort, having worked across Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the United Arab Emirates with several renowned luxury hotel brands.
In her new role, she is responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, events, and revenue strategies, with a focus on driving revenue and ADR growth while enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
Before joining Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, Burcu served as Commercial Director at Conrad Dubai.
She began her career in 2002 as a Sales Executive at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul and has since held leadership positions with Hilton Worldwide, Kempinski AG, Deutsche Hospitality, Hyatt Hotels, Fairmont, Marriott, and Emaar Hospitality.
Her career progression reflects an outstanding track record in the industry.
General Manager David Wilson expressed confidence in her appointment, highlighting her deep industry knowledge and market expertise as key assets to the team.
He noted that her strategic vision aligns well with the resort’s goals, making her the ideal candidate to lead the commercial team.
A graduate of Bilkent University, Burcu holds a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management and serves on the university’s Tourism and Hotel Management Advisory Board.
On her new role, she emphasized the significance of strengthening the resort’s position as an award-winning luxury destination and contributing to Dubai’s global prominence in luxury leisure, dining, and events.
She reiterated her commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering meaningful connections through meticulous attention to detail.
