QATAR – The 14th edition of the Qatar International Food Festival was a success according to organizers, drawing over 360,000 visitors during its 11-day run.
Organized by Visit Qatar, the latest edition of the Qatar International Food Festival showcased the culinary prowess of over 180 restaurants from both local and international scenes, while more than 28 global establishments presented diverse flavors that enriched the event’s multicultural tapestry.
For the first time this year, the festival introduced the Michelin Guide Village, where guests sampled exclusive creations from nine Michelin Guide Doha restaurants hailing from around the globe.
In a further expansion of its offerings, the festival unveiled the QIFF Junior Zone, an initiative that attracted over 5,000 children, alongside the debut of the QIFF Arena Zone.
In the QIFF Junior Zone, visitors took part in spirited cooking competitions, including eating challenges, juice-making contests, and creative plate-decorating battles.
Over the course of the event, 36 competitions saw 360 contestants in action and more than 500 winners were crowned, including audience favorites—amassing a total participation of 5,400 individuals.
The festival also featured the Cooking Studio, which hosted interactive workshops led by local and international chefs, offering guests a hands-on culinary experience.
Among the highlights was the “Dinner in the Sky” experience, where diners enjoyed an exquisite meal paired with panoramic views of Doha from a platform 50 metres above the ground.
Ahmed Hamad Al Binali, Director of Festivals and Events at Visit Qatar, lauded the festival as a tremendous success, noting that it welcomed over 365,000 visitors and reinforced Qatar’s reputation as a premier destination for both culinary and cultural tourism.
He emphasized that the event continues to evolve by introducing new experiences, innovative themes, and interactive programs that resonate with both residents and international travelers while fostering strong community bonds.
Reflecting its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, the festival renewed its annual partnership with the Hifz Al Naema Center, which collects and distributes surplus food to those in need.
Through its dynamic blend of culinary showcases, competitions, workshops, and immersive experiences, the Qatar International Food Festival has firmly established itself as one of the nation’s most celebrated annual events.
