D’oreale Grande Hotel unveils US$2.6M Revamp, showcasing 84 luxuriously redesigned rooms

SOUTH AFRICA – At Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, the iconic five-star D’oreale Grande Hotel has been transformed by a ZAR49 million (US$2.6 million) renovation that merges classic opulence with modern elegance, revamping two floors to showcase 84 redesigned rooms.

Hotel Operations Manager Christel Carstens, in collaboration with Blacksmith Designs, explained that the design integrates rich teal and gold hues in custom inlay carpets and wallpaper.

Bespoke furniture crafted from ochre leather and royal blue velveteen adds a touch of grandeur, while large glazed planters filled with lush greenery bring the outdoors inside.

These carefully selected elements combine to create an environment that is both timeless and refreshingly modern at this property adjacent to OR Tambo International Airport.

The hotel’s renowned lobby has been completely redesigned, featuring a pair of dramatic 2.5-meter wingback chairs that serve as a focal point, evoking the opulence of ancient Roman courts.

This lavish ambiance continues along the corridors, where golden tones and custom wool basket-weave carpets set the stage for the reimagined guest rooms.

The design also incorporates a blend of opulent textures and innovative solutions that cater to every guest’s desire for comfort and style.

Refined interiors have been curated with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every element contributes to an overall ambiance of luxury.

Guests are invited to relax in spaces that merge classic elegance with modern amenities, while ambient lighting creates a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor areas.

Inside the bedrooms, a complete transformation awaits. Traditional bathtubs have been replaced by spacious walk-in showers adorned with custom damask-patterned accent tiles, while expansive vanities offer ample space for personal amenities.

Illuminated mirrors cast a soft glow, and each room features a dedicated wall-mounted refreshment unit that adds a personal touch.

The crowning jewel is a handcrafted 2.5-meter headboard, intricately stitched with leather and topped by a suspended fabric canopy illuminated by gentle LED lighting.

Guests at D’oreale Grande are immersed in an experience that redefines luxury, blending contemporary elegance with timeless sophistication.

Whether visiting for business or leisure, the refurbished hotel now stands as one of South Africa’s most esteemed luxury destinations at Emperors Palace.
