AUSTRALIA – Leading coffee chain Zarraffa’s Coffee has unveiled plans to expand its footprint with 200 new outlets set to open by 2032.
Zarraffa’s Coffee is accelerating its expansion strategy in preparation for the 2032 Summer Olympics in Brisbane.
Since launching its first drive-through store in 2009, the coffee chain has grown to 78 locations across Australia, according to World Coffee Portal.
In April 2023, Zarraffa’s introduced a drive-through-only model in Beaudesert, Queensland, offering a more cost-efficient option for franchisees.
The brand previously aimed to reach 130 outlets by 2026, focusing on this streamlined drive-through concept, which has already been implemented in Queensland’s Harristown and Manunda suburbs.
Continuing its growth, Zarraffa’s Coffee opened a new drive-through location in North Underwood, Queensland, in mid-February 2025.
Positioned adjacent to the OOM Energy Fuel Station on Logan Road, this store is designed to serve commuters by providing seamless access to both coffee and fuel. It is the first of several planned store openings for 2025.
Discussing the latest addition, Zarraffa’s Coffee CEO Marnie Sheldon emphasized the company’s focus on expanding its presence while enhancing customer experience.
“Our goal this year remains centered on growth—not just through increasing our footprint across Australia but also by strengthening our customer value proposition and overall experience,” she said.
The North Underwood location has created 30 new jobs in the local community.
It is operated by franchisees Robbie and Sonya Farr, who now oversee three Zarraffa’s Coffee outlets, leveraging their extensive experience in managing multiple locations.
This expansion aligns with the brand’s broader market strategy, which emphasizes new site development and product innovation.
In July 2024, Zarraffa’s introduced the Dreamy Mocha range, blending two popular flavors. Marketed as the ultimate winter indulgence, the beverage combines the brand’s signature espresso with caramel and white chocolate, finished with fudge and caramel-infused cream.
CEO Marnie Sheldon highlighted the drink’s appeal, stating, “We are thrilled to launch the Dreamy Mocha, a perfect winter treat that offers a sweet, comforting experience for our customers.”
The Dreamy Mocha range was available for a limited time at all Zarraffa’s Coffee stores from July 1 to September 8 in various sizes, including short, tall, grande, masai, and jumbo.
