
SAUDI ARABIA – Emir of Madinah Prince Salman bin Sultan has inaugurated the waterfront and several development and entertainment projects in Yanbu Industrial City, and also attended the signing of various memoranda of understanding and agreements to encourage tourism and hospitality.
The Yanbu Industrial City waterfront spans 260,000 square meters, offering a range of services for residents and visitors, including multi-use buildings, beach seating, restaurants, and cafes.
These developments, spearheaded by Al Othaim Holding Company, aim to improve the quality of life and bolster tourism in the area.
Prince Salman bin Sultan recently launched the Al-Othaim Marina project, which represents an investment of SAR 400 million (approximately US$106.6 million).
The project covers 200,000 square meters and will feature an integrated commercial complex, a global hotel, entertainment venues, restaurants, and cinemas.
Additionally, the Prince attended the signing of an investment agreement between the Royal Commission for Yanbu and Al-Othaim Company to develop Al-Mahar Island, a 575,600-square-meter site.
This development will include commercial centers, entertainment spaces, and comprehensive services, further positioning Yanbu as a key tourist and investment hub.
Prince Salman bin Sultan also inaugurated the Marsa Al Jar project in Yanbu Governorate.
This initiative, led by Al-Khareef Trading and Contracting Company, offers a complete marine experience across 13,000 square meters.
The project includes 100 parking spaces for boats and yachts, 20 spaces for marine tanks, and a variety of services such as fishing, diving, and hiking trips.
The “Marsa Al Jar” app will provide digital solutions to streamline reservations and manage services, enhancing the overall experience.
Future plans for the marina include a modern boulevard with restaurants and cafes overlooking the sea, as well as a diving center and marine equipment exhibit.
The Prince also attended the signing of several cooperation agreements between the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and various public and private organizations.
These included a memorandum of understanding with Alat Technology Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, to provide training programs in partnership with the Royal Commission’s colleges and institutes.
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding with Taibah University was signed to facilitate training programs, knowledge exchange, and community initiatives.
Another agreement with the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation will focus on managing the Cricket Center in Yanbu Industrial City, promoting the sport, and supporting local and international tournaments.
