KUWAIT – Wego’s data recent data shows the online travel marketplace has recorded a 4.8% overall increase in bookings compared to last year, fueled by Hala February celebrations, National and Liberation Day holidays, and early Ramadan preparations.

It’s a perfect storm of events turning the month into one of Kuwait’s busiest travel periods.

Hala February Brings Regional Crowds to Kuwait

The festival spirit is working its magic. Inbound bookings to Kuwait jumped 9% during the Hala February period compared to last year, with interest spreading across the entire month rather than peaking around a single weekend.

Late February tells a different story. Around National Day and Liberation Day, outbound search interest spiked dramatically, early February recorded a 50% jump in searches compared to the previous week.

Kuwaiti travelers are thinking short and sweet: 74% of searches focus on regional destinations, with flexible dates and quick trips aligned to the public holiday calendar.

It’s the classic escape pattern: celebrate at home, then jet off for a few days of R&R.

Ramadan Planning Reshapes Late-February Travel
