UAE – Air Arabia has announced a major expansion with the launch of non-stop double daily flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and London Gatwick from March 29, 2026.
This new service marks a significant expansion of Air Arabia’s global network and strengthens Sharjah’s role as an important aviation hub linking the UAE with the UK.
The route will be operated by Air Arabia’s Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, offering travelers enhanced connectivity and flexibility between the two key markets.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing affordable, reliable air travel while expanding its reach to major business and leisure destinations.
London Gatwick’s Chief Commercial Officer, Jonathan Pollard, expressed enthusiasm about Air Arabia joining the airport post the approval of the Northern Runway, further increasing passenger options for Middle East travel from London and South East England.

In 2025, Air Arabia has accelerated its fleet growth by adding two new Airbus A320 aircraft to Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s fleet, boosting total operational capacity by 40%.
Another two A320 aircraft are expected by year-end, supporting the airline’s commitment to expanding its network and enhancing operational efficiency.
The airline has simultaneously broadened its route portfolio with new services from Sharjah International Airport to European cities including Munich, Warsaw (Modlin), and Prague.
Additionally, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched a new route to Damascus, Syria, expanding its Middle East coverage.
This expansion strategy focuses on connecting underserved markets across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Europe, providing value-driven travel options while supporting economic growth and tourism development.
