EUROPE – Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the appointment of four new General Managers across its landmark properties, with the Managing Director of Northern Italy also leading the opening of the brand’s newest hotel, The Carlton Milan.
These appointments demonstrate the brand’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, guest experience, and growth.
Anna Gricini will become General Manager at Hotel de la Ville, Rome, starting November 1, 2025.
Having contributed significantly as Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Rocco Forte in Italy, Anna brings extensive experience from Hilton International, Starwood Hotels, and the Dorchester Collection.
She has supported the opening of seven Italian properties including Masseria Torre Maizza, Hotel Villa Igiea, and Hotel de la Ville.
Maximilian Von Reden takes charge at Hotel Amigo, Brussels, from November 3, 2025.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality and a strong background in Food & Beverage, he has held senior roles at Mandarin Oriental, Ritz-Carlton, Peninsula, and Kempinski.
Most recently, Maximilian managed Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa in Switzerland and previously led Mandarin Oriental hotels in Prague and Jakarta.
Matteo Gentile will lead Hotel Savoy, Florence, starting November 3, 2025.
With more than two decades in hospitality, Matteo oversees operations at Lungarno Collection and has held executive roles at The Beverly Hilton, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, and Four Seasons hotels across Europe, the US, and Asia.
He also founded a consultancy advising hospitality clients in operational and creative strategies.
Ulrich Schwer has been appointed General Manager of The Charles Hotel, Munich.
Ulrich’s 25-year career includes managing the renowned Hotel de Rome, Berlin, and leadership at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, Fairmont, and Belmond properties worldwide including The Savoy London and The Plaza New York.
Francesco Roccato, Managing Director of Northern Italy, will lead The Carlton Milan, opening on November 6, 2025.
Francesco joined Rocco Forte Hotels seven years ago and has managed Hotel de la Ville and Rocco Forte House, Rome. Prior to joining, he led hotels including Nobu Hotel Marbella, The Franklin London, and Hotel Lungarno Florence.
