Al Meera partners with Kafy to revolutionise Qatar’s food procurement, logistics sector

The partnership enables restaurants, cafés, home-based businesses, and suppliers to access daily procurement needs at competitive prices through a seamless digital interface.

QATAR – Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has signed a strategic agreement with Kafy, Qatar’s first digital platform connecting the hospitality and restaurant sectors with suppliers, to transform the nation’s food procurement and logistics landscape.

This collaboration introduces a smart, fully integrated solution tailored to meet the evolving demands of Qatar’s food and beverage (F&B) ecosystem.

The partnership enables restaurants, cafés, home-based businesses, and suppliers to access daily procurement needs at competitive prices through a seamless digital interface.

Customers benefit from same-day delivery services available seven days a week, flexible payment options to improve cash flow, and reduced operational waste, enhancing overall cost efficiency.

Compared to traditional procurement models marked by long lead times and fragmented logistics, the Al Meera-Kafy platform offers a faster, more agile alternative.

By leveraging Al Meera’s extensive national distribution network, spanning over 70 branches, suppliers gain expanded market reach, streamlined operations, and lower logistical costs while improving service delivery.

The initiative aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, advancing digitalisation in supply chains and strengthening economic sustainability through technology-driven innovation.

It supports SMEs by simplifying operations, empowering entrepreneurs, and fostering a resilient, future-ready F&B sector.

Jassim Al Ansari, CEO of Al Meera, stated the partnership reinforces the company’s role as a national enabler of innovation and economic growth.

He emphasized its potential to elevate the procurement experience across Qatar’s hospitality industry.

Kafy Founder and CEO Khalifa Al Sada described the collaboration as a milestone in digitising F&B procurement.

By connecting SMEs and suppliers to a powerful nationwide network, we’re accelerating delivery and reducing costs, as well as empowering businesses to grow sustainably,” he said.

“Together, we’re building a smarter supply chain that delivers real economic value.”

For hotels and restaurants, this partnership significantly reduces kitchen downtime and stock inconsistencies, ensuring consistent menu delivery and improved guest satisfaction.

The platform’s real-time inventory tracking and automated reordering help F&B outlets maintain quality standards while cutting operational costs.

By streamlining procurement, the system allows hospitality operators to focus more on guest experience and service innovation. The integration supports Qatar’s growing tourism sector by ensuring reliable supply chains for hotels preparing for major events and peak seasons.

This partnership positions Al Meera and Kafy as leaders in procurement transformation, offering a scalable, efficient model that supports agility, innovation, and long-term sustainability in Qatar’s dynamic F&B market.
