Trans African Tourism & Unity campaign embarks on 40,000-Kilometre journey to promote continental tourism, travel

AFRICA – An epic voyage has begun across Africa, covering 40,000 kilometres through 39 nations to launch the ambitious Trans African Tourism & Unity Campaign.

Starting from Accra, Ghana, on August 18, 2025, this 163-day expedition aims to strengthen the bonds of unity among African countries.

The mission is to showcase Africa’s commitment to creating a visa-free continent by 2030, which is a core goal of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 envisioning a united and prosperous Africa.

The campaign has received notable endorsement from the Government of Ghana via its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lending it substantial credibility and official backing.

This endorsement highlights Ghana’s leadership role in promoting African integration and supports wider adoption of the African Union’s protocols on free movement, which were approved in 2018.

These protocols aim to reduce travel barriers that currently limit intra-continental travel and economic exchange.

Guided by Ras Mubarak, a former Member of Parliament and dedicated Pan-Africanist, the campaign reflects a passionate push for cultural exchange and mutual understanding among African nations.

Ras Mubarak’s leadership emphasizes the importance of breaking down the borders that divide Africans and fostering a spirit of collaboration and shared identity across the continent.

Throughout its journey, the campaign will serve as a moving symbol of Africa’s determination to fulfill its promises of unity and freedom of movement.

By physically connecting communities and nations, it hopes to inspire citizens and policymakers alike to work toward the long-term goals of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
