The new facility will boost Linencraft’s operational capacity by over 50%, adding 150 tons of daily processing to its current 280-ton capacity across four sites.

UAE – Emirates Flight Catering has commenced construction on a new AED 160 million (US$44 million) laundry facility at Dubai Investment Park, representing a major expansion of its laundry services arm, Linencraft.
This growth addresses soaring demand in the UAE’s hospitality, aviation, and healthcare sectors.
The new site will increase Linencraft’s operational capacity by more than 50%, adding a daily processing capacity of 150 tons to its existing 280 tons across four locations.
This expansion enables Linencraft to onboard 40 additional hospitality clients and create 400 direct jobs, contributing significantly to the UAE’s employment market.
Purpose-built for scalability and resilience, the facility incorporates next-generation laundry equipment with advanced automation.
These innovations enhance efficiency, reduce manual handling, and support consistent high-volume output, maintaining quality and reliability amid rapid growth.
Design features include built-in redundancies across key operational processes, ensuring uninterrupted service even during peak demand periods.
The facility also integrates energy-efficient systems aimed at minimizing environmental impact, aligning with Emirates Flight Catering’s strong focus on sustainability.
The expansion arrives at a pivotal moment for the UAE’s commercial laundry sector.
With over 10,000 new hotel rooms expected by 2027, the region is preparing for major international events and the ongoing expansion of Dubai Airport, all driving sharp increases in laundry service demand.
In parallel, the rising need for staff uniform and institutional laundry services across public and private sectors further fuels capacity growth requirements.
Linencraft’s enhanced facility is well-positioned to meet these evolving market dynamics efficiently.
Shahreyar Nawabi, CEO of Emirates Flight Catering, stated, “Linencraft has long set the benchmark for quality and reliability in the UAE’s laundry sector. This bold investment reflects both the scale of opportunity we see in the market and our determination to lead the industry forward.”
The facility, delivered by UAE-based general contracting firm ASIA Prime, will include two modular hospitality bulk laundry units with a combined capacity of 142 tons per day, plus a dedicated garment plant capable of processing over 28,000 pieces daily.
Emirates Flight Catering’s Linencraft remains the largest laundry service provider in the UAE, supporting over 100 clients including hotels, airlines, healthcare facilities, and corporate fashion sectors, employing a specialised workforce of 1,300 professionals.
Overall, this investment reinforces Emirates Flight Catering’s leadership in laundry services, combining operational excellence, sustainability, and innovation to meet the UAE’s growing hospitality and institutional laundry needs.
