Chatlyn raises US$8.8M in Series A to revolutionize hotel guest communication with AI

AUSTRIA – chatlyn, an innovative AI-driven communication platform transforming guest interactions within the hospitality industry, has successfully closed a Series A funding round totaling €8 million (US$8.8 million).

The investment was spearheaded by Smedvig Ventures and included contributions from prominent figures such as AnyDesk founder Andreas Burike, Austrian transport leader Blaguss, business angel Mathias Hiebeler, former owner of Grob aircraft acquired by Helsing, and several strategic investors specializing in hospitality.

Additionally, chatlyn secured an innovation grant from Austria’s national funding agency for industry-related research and development, the FFG.

Since its inception in late 2022, chatlyn has been pioneering a comprehensive AI communication hub that enables hotels to engage guests seamlessly across multiple platforms including WhatsApp, SMS, email, webchat, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger.

By automating and personalizing communications throughout the guest journey, from initial inquiries and reservations to post-stay follow-ups, the platform significantly enhances operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

The company’s AI suite features virtual concierges, intelligent chatbots, reservation assistants, and automated review management tools, all designed to reduce manual workloads and accelerate response times.

Integration with leading property management systems such as Mews, Apaleo, and Oracle allows hotels to maintain consistent messaging while automating routine tasks like booking confirmations and upselling opportunities.

Investors recognize chatlyn’s potential to redefine hospitality communication by leveraging advanced natural language processing and machine learning capabilities to support over 30 languages, making it a powerful solution for global hotel chains catering to diverse clientele.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product innovation, expand market presence, and deepen integrations with additional hospitality software ecosystems.

The innovation grant from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency further underscores chatlyn’s commitment to developing cutting-edge AI technologies tailored to the unique demands of the hospitality sector.

This support enables the company to invest in research and development that keeps it at the forefront of AI-driven hospitality solutions.

With this new funding and strategic support, chatlyn is positioned to scale rapidly, empowering hotels worldwide to deliver superior guest experiences while optimizing operational workflows through intelligent automation.
