MENA – The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) has taken a significant step to increase tourism from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region by forging a strategic partnership with Wego, the leading online travel marketplace in this dynamic market.
This collaboration aims to position Azerbaijan as an attractive, year-round destination that perfectly blends wellness, culture, and nature, catering to the evolving preferences of MENA travelers.

Recognizing this shift, ATB and Wego have launched a campaign highlighting Azerbaijan’s unique offerings beyond the well-known cityscapes of Baku.
The campaign focuses on wellness tourism, cultural heritage trails, eco-luxury stays, and culinary adventures, showcasing Azerbaijan as a holistic getaway and adventure hub.
Key wellness attractions include mineral-rich thermal springs in Lankaran and Masalli, the therapeutic Naftalan oil baths, and the alpine retreats of Shahdag Mountain Resort, which offer year-round outdoor activities amid stunning natural landscapes.
These features position Azerbaijan as a hidden gem for travelers seeking restorative and nature-connected holidays.
The campaign also emphasizes Azerbaijan’s rich cultural tapestry, from traditional cuisine and premium caviar tastings to exploring historic Silk Road routes in Sheki.
Wego’s digital platform will deliver targeted content, influencer-led travel itineraries, and exclusive travel packages tailored for GCC travelers, leveraging real-time travel data and consumer insights.
