DaVinci Gourmet names Mikael Jasin as first brand ambassador for APMEA region

MEA – Renown coffee and beverage solutions provider DaVinci Gourmet has formally announced the appointment of the 2024 World Barista Champion Mikael Jasin as its first brand ambassador for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region.

Over the next year, Jasin will represent the brand at various events, campaigns, and innovation projects throughout the APMEA region, bringing his expertise and passion for coffee to a broader audience.

The partnership was revealed at Jasin’s Omakafé, an omakase-style coffee boutique offering multi-course specialty coffee experiences.

At the event, Jasin and his team curated a menu that highlighted DaVinci Gourmet’s products. The creations showcased the craftsmanship, science, and artistry at the core of the brand’s philosophy, which he hopes would translate to value for the company.

Jasin, 34, expressed his excitement and honor in partnering with DaVinci Gourmet, noting that the brand’s values align with his own mission to elevate coffee experiences and make a positive impact on communities.

He emphasized that with DaVinci Gourmet’s wide range of syrups and sauces, baristas are equipped with the tools to create innovative beverages tailored to local preferences.

According to Jasin, it’s like having a “library of flavors” that fuels creativity and helps craft unique coffee stories for each market.

Beyond his achievements as a barista, Jasin is also the co-founder of So So Good Coffee Company and CATUR Coffee Company, which specialize in uniquely fermented Indonesian coffee beans.

These companies also offer barista training and café consultancy services.

With a postgraduate degree in marketing and a focus on customer experience and design thinking, Jasin merges creativity with strategic insight in his efforts to advance the coffee industry.

Eloise Dubuisson, General Manager for Food Service Brands at Kerry APMEA, praised Jasin’s accomplishments, noting that his passion for innovation and storytelling through coffee perfectly aligns with DaVinci Gourmet’s mission.

She emphasized that Jasin’s leadership as the 2024 World Barista Champion and his dedication to the craft would bring significant value to the coffee culture in the APMEA region, helping to transform the community and inspire new levels of creativity among coffee professionals.
